Seitai Hodoki and

Scoliosis

Scoliosis and Scheuermann's disease are deformities of the spine that often appear during growth and can lead to lasting asymmetric muscular tension.

What are scoliosis and Scheuermann's disease?

Scoliosis is a lateral deviation and rotation of the spine. Scheuermann's disease causes a pronounced kyphosis of the upper back, often visible in adolescence. In both cases, certain muscle groups end up in permanent tension on one side of the body while others weaken, sustaining the postural imbalance.

How Seitai Hodoki can support scoliosis

Seitai Hodoki does not aim to structurally correct scoliosis, but it can support the release of the asymmetric muscular tension that often accompanies it, and help improve everyday postural comfort, alongside medical or orthopaedic care where relevant.

How a session unfolds

Sessions are given fully clothed, in comfortable clothing made of natural fabric. Please also bring a towel or body linen. An initial intake assessment helps identify the origin of the tension before shaping the session.

Seitai Hodoki is a complementary approach — it does not replace medical care.
