Seitai Hodoki and

Herniated disc

Herniated discs and disc degeneration affect the intervertebral discs, the cushioning pads between the vertebrae. They are a frequent cause of back pain and sciatica.

What is a herniated disc or disc degeneration?

A herniated disc occurs when the nucleus of an intervertebral disc shifts and presses on a nerve root, causing pain and sometimes radiating symptoms into a limb. Disc degeneration, meanwhile, refers to progressive wear of the disc. These conditions are often encouraged by chronic muscular tension and postural imbalance that overload certain vertebrae.

How Seitai Hodoki can support a herniated disc

Seitai Hodoki is a complementary, non-invasive approach: it never substitutes for a medical diagnosis or treatment, but it can support the release of muscular tension surrounding the affected area and contribute to better overall postural balance, without direct pressure on the fragile zone.

How a session unfolds

Sessions are given fully clothed, in comfortable clothing made of natural fabric. Please also bring a towel or body linen. An initial intake assessment helps identify the origin of the tension before shaping the session.

Seitai Hodoki is a complementary approach — it does not replace medical care.
